Mappings can be made using concepts from the different terminology views or from the search results by dragging them into the Mapping Set Editor.
Go to a terminology view (e.g. Local Code System View), select the concept or code you want to add, and drag it into the Mapping Set Editor. The term that is dragged first into the editor will be the map source.
There is also a way to add a concept or descendants of a concept as a source to an active Mapping Set via the Context Menu.
Concepts can also be added from the Search View: select the result you want to add and drag it into the active Mapping Set. If you want to add all search results, use the shortcut Ctrl
+A
to select all results, then drag them into the editor. Search results can also be added to an active Mapping Set using the Context Menu options.
When a component is added to a Mapping Set the following rules apply:
If the mapping has never been versioned the member effective time is set to Unpublished
If the mapping has been versioned
and changed since the last versioning, the member effective time is set to Unpublished
.
not changed since the last versioning, the member effective time is set to the last version tag.
Mapping Sets are capable of representing one-to-many mappings by multiple maps. It is possible to add the same source multiple times, with different mapping targets. If the same source with the same target is added, a validation message is displayed.
Read more about the validation of Mapping Sets in the Validation chapter.
ValidationThere is also a possibility to add all members of a Value Set or a Reference Set to the active Mapping Set via the Context Menu option of the needed Value Set or Reference Set.
To add a target, drag a code or concept to the area of the map target, then drop it. If you want to add another map source, you can also use the drag and drop feature for adding a source.
