Splitting a Mapping Set allows users to break a large Mapping Set into multiple Mapping Sets with equal-sized sets of mappings. Inactive mappings are not going to be included in the split. To invoke this functionality, right-click on the Mapping Set to be split and select the Context Menu item Split…
The dedicated Split Mapping Set Wizard allows the user to set the number of Mapping Sets to split the source Mapping Set into.
The number of chunks can be defined within the range of 2 and 20.
Besides specifying the number of chunks, the wizard also offers the following possibilities:
The option to omit the target codes from the mappings and only have the source codes present in the generated split parts.
The option to carry over comments from the original Mapping Set to the split parts.
As a result of this operation, the target Mapping Sets are grouped within a dedicated folder that is created as part of the split action.
The naming pattern of the newly created folder: OriginalMappingSetName_split
The folder name can be modified.
Clicking Finish
in the wizard will generate the new folder and Mapping Sets, which will be listed in the Mapping Set View.
