ECL Editor is available in two different ways:
SNOMED CT Concept Advanced Search has an embedded editor
Standalone editor is available from the Project Explorer view
Both editors support the same features. The only difference between the two editors is that the query entered into the embedded editor cannot be saved, while the query entered into the standalone editor can be saved.
Open SNOMED CT Concept Advanced Search by clicking the flashlight icon in the application's main toolbar. Switch to the Search by ECL tab on the SNOMED CT Concept page of the Advanced Search dialog.
To access the standalone ECL Editor in the Project Explorer View, you first need to create a project, then a file.
