# Expression File

Once you created a project, you can create files within.

To do so:

* Right-click on the project folder and select *New File*.
* Enter a file name with an `.ecl` extension (e.g. `Testfile.ecl`), and click **`Finish`**.

The ECL Editor for your new file automatically opens, and you can start entering the query expression.

It is also possible to organize your files in subfolders: right-click on the project folder and select `New > Folder` from the Context Menu to create a new subfolder. You can move files by dragging them to a different location.
