To enter editing mode and access functionalities related to authoring, click on the button in the upper right corner of the selected Concept Map's content page.
Users have the option to view Concept Map content either in Table View , or in Focus View .
Accessing editing mode takes users to the Table View by default.
This view organizes mappings in a table with the source part (codes and terms) on the left side, and the target part (codes and terms) on the right side.
The Target Code System is available as a built-in terminology browser in a separate section on the right-hand side of the page. To find the desired target concepts, users can browse the hierarchy manually, or use the filter search on top of the hierarchy. Once the target concept is located, adding it to a mapping can easily be accomplished with drag and drop.
You can also select Unmapped
or Not mappable
, but keep in mind that these will remove the previously selected target concept.
Switching to the Focus View inserts a middle section where more details about the selected mapping are visible. Users can add multiple relation types to a source code pointing to different targets, creating one-to-many mappings with that. It is also possible to add multiple mappings of the same relation type.
Besides the ability to add multiple targets, the Focus View offers some additional options as well.
For example, this is where Not mappable
property can be selected for a source concept without having to add a target concept first.
In addition to the above, the Focus View also has a Suggestions section where potential target concepts are listed based on lexical match.
Once the target concept is added, the Relation can be specified using the at the end of the cell.
To select Not mappable
, press . Note, that this will remove all previously mapped targets.
To clear all previously mapped targets at once, press .
