The reactivation of concepts is supported in Snow Owl via the status menu of the Concept Editor's Overview Page.
During the concept reactivation process:
the concept will become active;
the following components will be removed/inactivated automatically:
Concept inactivation indicator Reference Set member;
Description inactivation indicator Reference Set member; and
Association Reference Set (SAME AS, REPLACED BY, etc.) member.
Descriptions: When a concept is inactivated, its descriptions remain active and receive the description non-current indicator. Those references in the Description inactivation indicator Reference Set are automatically removed/retired during the concept re-activation process.
Relationships: The reactivated concept must be rewired into the SNOMED hierarchy, users may add new relationships on the concept Overview Page or reactive existing inactive relationships.
Reactivating relationships is available via the Source Relationships Page by clicking on the status field and selecting from the drop-down menu:
To reactivate a destination relationship, go to the Destination Relationship Page, open the origin concept by double-clicking on it and then proceed to reactivate it on the Source Relationship Page of the origin concept.
