# Concept Model Constraints

Each constraint contains a description and additional metadata indicating the author of the constraint and the effective date.

Constraints can be specified at the strengths identified by the MRCM PG:

| Constraint type                       |
| ------------------------------------- |
| Mandatory concept model constraint    |
| Recommended concept model constraint  |
| Advisory concept model constraint     |
| Mandatory post-coordinated constraint |
| Information model constraint          |
| Use case-specific constraint          |
| Implementation-specific constraint    |

Constraints can be applied to the following forms:

| All forms          |
| Distribution form  |
| Stated form        |
| Close to user form |
| Long normal form   |
| Short normal form  |
