Once you created a project, you can create files within.
To do so:
Right-click on the project folder and select New File.
Enter a file name with an .ecl extension (e.g. Testfile.ecl), and click Finish.

The ECL Editor for your new file automatically opens, and you can start entering the query expression.

It is also possible to organize your files in subfolders: right-click on the project folder and select New > Folder from the Context Menu to create a new subfolder. You can move files by dragging them to a different location.
