Users can create new Concept Maps from the main Resources page.
Selecting the Concept Map option after pressing the button reveals the Create a new Concept Map form in place of the resource type selection panel. Once the required fields are populated, users can proceed with generating the Concept Map by pressing the button.
Field | Desciption |

It is possible to restrict the Concept Map content by specifying ECL queries that constrain the selected Code Systems to a sub-hierarchy or a more specific subset.
After picking the Code System, you can enter the ECL query to refine the selected terminology.
With the ECL in place, a counter will indicate the number of concepts that match the query and as a result, will be considered for the Concept Map.
You can see this counter just below the ECL boxes for both the source and target sides.
An ECL
tag in the newly created Concept Map's header will also inform users that the domain is refined through a query.
You can see the tag on the Content tab of the Concept Map.
Another layer of the domain refinement is the possibility to select a specific Value Set as opposed to selecting and constraining a Code System. This could provide an even more focused refinement, as only the contents of the selected Value Sets will be considered.
To be able to select a Value Set, choose the corresponding radio button in the creation wizard.
If you enter an ECL query as a refinement, a matching tag will be displayed in the Concept Map headers after creating the resource.
After pressing the button, you will be taken to the Overview page of your new resource.
