# Create

Pressing the ![](https://1046423764-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MfXbzY7oaJUjXyvlBQk%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-240ff7fa0619907240b25b562592d357ad001fc4%2Fcreate_button.png?alt=media) button from the main menu bar and selecting the concept map option takes users to the [concept map](/snowray/snowray-v1.1.1/reference/resources/conceptmaps.md) creation page. Once the required fields are populated, users can proceed with generating the concept map by once again pressing the create button.

Concept maps can be created either by selecting a SNOMED CT Simple Map type reference set to synchronize with or simply by generating a new concept map. SNOMED CT Simple Map type reference set type concept maps can be exported later on as a reference set which means that its clauses will be evaluated and only its members will be exported.

| ------------------------------------------ | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Source code system**                     | The [code system](/snowray/snowray-v1.1.1/reference/resources/codesystems.md) you would like to work with for your source concepts (mandatory)            |
| **Connect to existing identifier concept** | Decide whether you would like to create a SNOMED CT reference set or just simple create a concept map from an existing SNOMED CT reference set concept    |
| **Simple map type reference set**          | If you selected the **Connect to existing identifier concept** option, it is mandatory to choose a Simple Map type reference set from the selected domain |
| **Title**                                  | If you are creating a simple concept map, you need to define its title (mandatory)                                                                        |
| **Bundle**                                 | If you specify a bundle, your [resource](/snowray/snowray-v1.1.1/reference/resources.md) will be added to the corresponding folder                        |
